ArchLUG is a Linux User Group (LUG) in Saint Louis, Missouri.
Our purpose is to serve the Linux Users in the greater St. Louis gateway region, and deliver Linux and Open Source benefits to our:

• Area
• Region
• Community, and
• Homes

We provide our resources to benefit the local Linux users and community, (and our Internet-connected 'virtual' community), regardless of experience with Linux, whether you are a Windows refugee, a dual-boot Linux user, new to Linux user, or a Windows-free Linux user.

We believe we have something to offer the St. Louis Linux user community whether you are:

• learning Linux, using Linux at home or in your workplace,
• a professional computer consultant, system administrator, or network engineer
• an information security specialist, or IT infrastructure architect
• IT developer, project leader, manager, director, owner, CEO, or enterprise IT executive
• or just want to use Linux because it works and costs less

ArchLUG is in the process of launching and developing some community-driven resources that foster collaboration and continuous improvement of delivering Linux and Open Source benefits to our area, region, community, and homes.

You can take a peek at our core bootstrap efforts listed below. Feel free to participate and watch this space for more things to come!

• The ArchLUG Kwiki is a unique form of creating self-organizing information in a way that truly fosters and supports a collaborative environment.
• The Linux By Example is a similar Kwiki resource that is focused on learning Linux by example.
• The ArchLUG Calendar is perpetual calendar that you can easily edit or search (Since it is part of the ArchLUG Kwiki).

• The ArchLUG Forum is a place where threaded discussions can take place, as well as a place for structured information.

The customary location for meetings is the Schlafly Branch of the St. Louis Public Library.
