ArchLUG Smiles

Remote Wiki - KwikiKwiki KwikiSmiles  KwikiKwiki : KwikiSmiles are a formatting enhancement to allow the archlug smiley ArchLUG Kwiki to easily implement 'smiles' (also called 'smilies', 'smileys', or more collegially, 'emoticons'). They are a text shorthand notation (or abbreviation) used to represent an emotional attribute to the text, such as happiness.

They were created by Scott Fahlman on September 19, 1982.
