For a VNC Kwiki, here it is:
- Install the vncserver
- Open a console window and type: vncserver :2
- You will then be prompted for a password. Set a password to access your new desktop.
- Type vncserver -kill :2
- Wait a minute or two
- Right-click on the desktop, select run and type: vncserver :2
- The server will be up and running in a few moments.
Now, you can access it from the remote machine's vnc viewer application by typing the machine's network address (or DNS hostname, if you know what it is) immediately followed by ':2'. e.g. 'host.domain:2'
You will be required to provide the password you set earlier.
