Using GNOME 2.2 on Xandros 1.x

If you want Gnome 2.2 on your Xandros 1.0 box this is what you must do.

• First remove # from the sources.list in /etc/apt
• Add the following to /etc/apt/sources.list

deb http://mirror.raw.no/ gnome2.2/

• then apt-get install gdm (**read last comment below)
• apt-get install x-window-system
• apt-get install gnome-core
• Then you chose GDM as your default display manager
• Reboot and enjoy your new install of Gnome 2.2

To use Xandros Update or Xandros Networks, you will need to log in using KDE.
