Xandros Boot Options
When restarting your computer with a Xandros installation disc in the drive, a message appears to Press Shift for Troubleshooting Options. Pressing the Shift key brings up a menu with the following installation and maintenance options.

| Rescue Console | Loads to a command prompt (Single User Mode); vga=normal |
| International | Allows you to pick non-North-American keyboard and language |
| ACPI | Advanced Configuration and Power Interface; newer than APM |
| APM | Advanced Power Management |
